Apartment in Little Venice

overview

An apartment in Little Venice provides a restful London base for its busy owners where all the space has been used to optimise storage and the aesthetics of the interior.

The clients have a country house where they have lived for many years with a traditional interior. They were clear from the beginning that they wanted a different look in their London home and they immediately loved the aluminium grey  combined with matt lacquer on our display. The kitchen overlooks a stunning garden – where the outside has been brought into the interior with clever lighting and tall elegant doors.

The fusion of traditional and contemporary styles works effortlessy  throughout the apartment. The kitchen is approached via a cantilevered staircase with striking glass balustrade – and opens out into a kitchen dining space.

Each unit was designed for a specific purpose including the glass function boxes behind the sink which neatly provide additional space for small items and lighting to the wet area. Pullout storage was included to all base cabinets to ensure every centimetre could be accessed easily.  The kitchen includes the most sophisticated appliances as the client loves cooking and entertaining. Both clients have high pressure jobs and it was important to create an efficient but stylish oasis where the kitchen could be open plan and be part of their living space.
